After only 2 days the cucumber rotted and burst x[ It was really gross. Its juices (which were like cucumber guts) came out and dirtied the sheet so I had to take down the whole setup. Thank goodness I was done, tee hee.

I put some of my business cards in the Blick doorway where a bunch of fliers and things are. Yes, the business cards got here a few weeks ago, yay. I’m going to do that more often in places that have sections like that. Hopefully it works!

So as most of you know I’m an Agnostic Buddhist, Agnostic as in I don’t believe in a god existing at all, I find the idea crazy, but I do understand that I could be wrong and I do understand why most people believe in god and their reasons are real reasonable most of the time. I’m not intolerant of other religions, religion is fascinating but unfortunately there’s always some group of extremists in most religions. And I love discussing religion! Very much, it’s so interesting. Anyway.. I found this article and I found it pretty interesting. I was raised a catholic and I even read the bible so when I switched to buddhism at 14 I started reading about things the buddha said. I noticed that him and Jesus said and believed in VERY similar things. Buddhism existed before Jesus was born so I was thinking, maybe Jesus studied Buddhism in some way (during is “lost” years), if not then it’s one heck of a coincidence. I guess I wasn’t alone in that thought! x] But the one who wrote this seems obviously more knowledgeable about the subject.

I, Magdalena “Maggy” Checo, was born in Manhattan on August 11th 1990. I grew up in Astoria and will move back there soon! My dad is an artist which is why I discovered my talent early since I got a very early influence in art. I want to be an artist (hopefully successful!) more than anything but art can’t pay bills. When choosing a career I wanted to work in art but also with other things I love like math, engineering and just building things, so I decided to become an architect and I can’t wait to be one.

I’ve been an Agnostic Buddhist ever since I was 14.  (Agnostic- not that I’m unsure that God doesn’t exist, I’m very sure God doesn’t exist and my mind probably can’t be changed about that, but I know I’m a human who can make many mistakes, so from that I am an agnostic and not an atheist). Enough about religion! I do yoga and I love Japanese food (especially sushi, natto and pickled cucumbers :]), I love Japanese food so much that I’ve learned to make some of it at home. I love roller coasters and ice skating and many other fun family friendly things. I hate parties, and clubs. Most of all I’m a Beatlemaniac, a bookworm, a heck of a beatnik and a fan many many very geeky things.
